What are the problems?
Re: What is holding SCP - Containment Breach back from being on Steam?
#2$100 pay wall and the fact that Blitz3D doesn't work well with Steamworks.
That, and no one cares.

Re: What is holding SCP - Containment Breach back from being on Steam?
#3What CommanderMark said. Also it's not really in a state to be on Steam in the spotlight.

#4But you can't deny that it would be much more popular then.CommanderMark wrote:$100 pay wall and the fact that Blitz3D doesn't work well with Steamworks.

#5No it wouldn't. If you haven't noticed, Markiplier, JELlegendz, and PewDiePie have all played Containment Breach, with the first two being the most recent. I'd say the popularity has piked and now is steadily dying due to CB reaching what I'd call the end of it's lifeforce.ME2 wrote:But you can't deny that it would be much more popular then.CommanderMark wrote:$100 pay wall and the fact that Blitz3D doesn't work well with Steamworks.

#6I think it will be on steam when Regalis will release Barotrauma on steam
Re: What is holding SCP - Containment Breach back from being on Steam?
#7Pretty much what CommanderMark and Cridone said (except the paywall part, I've already paid the Greenlight submission fee). I don't see much benefit in adding it to Steam and don't really have time or motivation to start integrating Steamworks, setting up a Greenlight campaign and giving post-launch support for the game.
Re: What is holding SCP - Containment Breach back from being on Steam?
#8I know the chance of getting CB onto Steam is very very low, but I would like to mention that InnocentSam already did a Steamworks implementation of Containment Breach, so it wouldn't be THAT hard implementing it right?Regalis wrote:and don't really have time or motivation to start integrating Steamworks in it.
Re: What is holding SCP - Containment Breach back from being on Steam?
#9I don't even see a point in releasing it on steam, you can get it easily from here, so what's the point? Also, scp wiki owns the rights to SCP's pretty much so they would get the money if you had to pay for it.

#10Nope, both the game and the wiki are under a Creative Commons license that allows anyone to redistribute and sell the materialHahmonen wrote:Also, scp wiki owns the rights to SCP's pretty much so they would get the money if you had to pay for it.
