There is no reason why livestreaming should not be allowed as it is essentially the same as you recording, only that it's live. In my opinion there is no significant advantage to seeing one of the run clips live than to see the clip a bit later in the form of a YouTube video, in fact, it's probably better as the event might gain more attention.

Very interesting. I don't play the game much, so I can't join, but I'll gladly watch anyone who livestreams.

Level 1 & Level 2 Challenge Runs Will Be Posted Today at 11PM EST

For people who are unsure how to record gameplay, I suggest you to look into OBS, an Open-Source Recording Software. Links will be in the Sources at the end of this post. SCP Containment Breach is not recognized by OBS as a window that could be recorded, so you must do a Display Capture in order to record it. If you would like to add onto how to set OBS up perfectly, please do so.


Since this is a community event, I encourage all of the players and non-players to cooperate and strategize within this topic or within your livestream(s). If you would like to ask any questions, please do so. Otherwise, I hope you guys enjoy this event and have a great time.

Yeah he recently did a livestream on SCP, but TheBatsee has done more coverage on the game.

Since there were not as many players as I thought there would have been, you may make new posts showing off your recordings/livestreams.

Ranking will be updated after every 2 days.

Anything specific? Or just put it through 914 on any setting?
Also, can we ditch it after refining it? Or do we have to keep it through to the end?

You may put it in 914 on any setting. You may ditch it, but I intended it to be used along with a gas mask. Always assume that if I do not state it, you do not have to do it.

For the Level 2 Challenge Run, it states that you have to possess a suit of keycards, so you have to carry all 5 keycards until the end of the game.
