I've thought of this, and have some things already done with an elevator for my mod.
In the elevator, there is the main panel, with all the buttons and a keycard slot.
Like a card-scanner, it activates, but brings up a GUI like the keypads. You can press the number of the floor you want to navigate to, with 1 the surface and 6 the omega warhead.
Each number would correspond to the security level, you need a level 4 keycard to take the elevator to floor 4. All the O5 offices would be either on the surface or on floor 6, with the warhead.
For obvious reasons, the MTF would immediately travel down to Level 5, and secure the SCPs, along with escorting all personnel to safe-zones located on each floor. They would continue up, until they finished each floor. And then it becomes flooded with facility guards and you have to sneak everywhere.
Re: [Suggestion] Adding Levels
#12Yeah this is great, but when the facility is packed with MTF soldiers,it would be insanely hard.mrpeanut188 wrote:I've thought of this, and have some things already done with an elevator for my mod.

I'm done,I'm really done here for now.Screw this bullshit that I'm getting from other people.I can't tolerate this anymore, and I'll fuck off from now.
Re: [Suggestion] Adding Levels
#13Sorry, I'm new just made this account to add to this, I think is great idea for the base is underground so you'd think all heavy SCP would be at the further away from top-side but I really like to add the idea for if there's a level system SCP-087 could be added. but also I'd like to add try to get the player to go down to get out exp. Lockdown is in effect so you need a lockdown override card or SCP-005 "Skeleton Key" cause the base is under lockdown so you'd think all cards on level one will lock out after X amount time to stop SCP or people leaving the base.
Re: [Suggestion] Adding Levels
#14I've already implemented this in my mod, entirely thought out, but the MTF would secure the facility bottom-up, so you would be sandwiched between them and the security forces on the top.
My idea was to have the facility into 5 main divisions, each corresponding to each key-card level.
1 - Surface
2 - Light Containment
3 - Offices
4 - Heavy Containment
5 - Keter Containment
6 - Maintainance/Warheads
To access the Maintainance Tunnels you need to find the specific elevator, or find a maintainance key, to be used in a normal elevator.
The way it would work is like a combo of the number-pad locks and card readers, you use a card onto the elevator panel, then a number-pad
like GUI come up, with the elevator buttons for you to choose the floor.

Re: [Suggestion] Adding Levels
#15I like the idea! Looks good too. Only question I have is that wouldn't light containment be lower than offices? It just seems like offices would naturally go after the surface area.mrpeanut188 wrote:I've already implemented this in my mod, entirely thought out, but the MTF would secure the facility bottom-up, so you would be sandwiched between them and the security forces on the top.

#16Overseers aren't located on the same site as SCPs, and they definitely won't have their offices next to a giant bomb.mrpeanut188 wrote:All the O5 offices would be either on the surface or on floor 6, with the warhead.
I'm not here as much right now, mention me on our Discord server if you need anything.
Re: [Suggestion] Adding Levels
#17Oh, maybe. The post was something I wrote, don't have my previous work available. But yeah, you could put Offices as the 2nd Floor.Lotims wrote:I like the idea! Looks good too. What post did I say that? I probably meant the O5-only files, or was just plain retarded when I wrote that.
Re: [Suggestion] Adding Levels
#18I love this.Lotims wrote:As you may know there are three different containment areas. Light, Medium, and Heavy.
What if we added those as actual levels. Such as Heavy on bottom, Medium in the middle, and Light on top.
That would give us a way to start to increase the diversity of each containment level. Adding more rooms and more items to search so it does not become and endless maze of repeated rooms and hallways.
It would also give the player an idea on whether they are getting close to a gate or not. The higher you go, the less dangerous SCP's there are but more dangerous MTF units and Containment traps are in place.
Thoughts?
The higher, the closer to leaving the facility.
So, its like they arent really caring about the Heavy containment zone, but all MTF units are like "nobody is gonna get past us on light area!"
But that should mean you need to start out in the medium or heavy.
Re: [Suggestion] Adding Levels
#19Another idea. What if when you reach Gate B, 079 comes on the intercom and says you must come see him to negotiate your escape. Forcing you to take an elevator down the facility level, he may ask you to disable the nuclear warheads in the heavy containment zone, if you do, then he will unlock Gate B. This will FORCE the player to head down to hell for his own escape. It will also test the player morally. Do you do what 079 says for your own survival, but doom millions of people to their deaths? Or do you keep the warheads on to denoate, killing yourself in the process but saving the world?

#20This is in essence, what happens right now. Switch off the Remote Door Control, then The Old AI requests you to turn it back on, forcing you to go back through the facility again.Lotims wrote:Another idea.
