I think he said he was a student. Autodesk has a great education program, as long as you provide a valid school and some personal information you get all their software free.

Those are some pretty good models ya got there, Jordan!

And yes, both of those tools technically are free if you sign up for a student account. I use the same ones! :D
Just between me and you, they don't really check if the college has a 3D program or if you're a real student, so you could technically just sign up for any local college and they'd never know

Be afraid, users, for the most terrifying SCP of all is coming soon to a Site :REDACTED: near you!

...Just as soon as I make his speakers a bit higher-res, get around to actually texturing his arms and legs, give him some normal and specular maps, actually gain permission to create my own thread etc.

I tried to get some of their software, but the install button was grayed out. I thought the configuration I had was bad, so I tried a bunch of different combos, but the button was still grayed out.

Later that day...

But alas I have millions of keys and no install. :,(

Go back to http://students.autodesk.com

Click on "Free Software", then "College/University", "3ds Max"

Then select your operating system and 3ds max version as in the picture. Then you have to wait like 10 seconds before the install now stops being gray and it gives you a download and a key.

So yeah, i posted this here because 650 is kinda done. I just have to texture it ( an domain which I'm completely new to) and then rig it?
Because i don't think it needs animations since it's a statue.

What do you think?

I'm not the right person to judge your model because I do not know exactly SCP-650 is but as far as I know the model shouldn't have feet or any obvious limb. It also should be thinner and taller. Just like this:

650 does change its position of it's limbs when it moves. I think that when it tries to scare you it poses like it is trying to grab you. And it also does say in the article that it does appear to do things like cowering like it is scared or other things to be creepy. Read the article. It should have some alternate posses besides just its neutral pose.

Also, the legs don't look long enough if you are trying to give it realistic proportions.
