Here's another one, this time for 106. As I do these (if people want me to keep doing these, that is) I'll just go ahead and post all of the ones I have already made so people don't have to search through the thread if they want to hear the others too.

I should make clear, I label these as "concepts" but that's only because I want to make it clear that further editing may be done as they may need to fade in/fade out or be loopable etc. and to take into account any criticisms or ideas you people might give me (e.g. 106 isn't subtle enough, needs more/less breathing).

I dropped the volume of 106's "breathing", but did you want me to actually decrease the amount of breathing, just the volume, or both?

That's perfect! You can hear the music now. I think they're all pretty awesome.

Here's 173 and the new and improved 106 with softer breathing that Destructoid suggested. I actually did not use the same scratching noise from the actual game as I searched for my own sample, but it sounds pretty similar. Any samples I use I either make myself or are completely copyright free and other noises are made by synthesizers so there are no royalty issues with anything I post in case anyone was wondering if these would even be legal to have in the game *if* Regalis decides he likes the idea.

I feel 372 is still the strongest and I'm wondering if I shouldn't go back and try a different approach with 106 and 173, but I'm not sure how exactly. I many have concerns that they sound too similar, so I'll probably redo one of them some time in the future.

I'm enjoying coming back to this thread just to see what you post next Slagar. I love everything you have done so far. I would add only one thing abotu 173's concept music. I like how subtle the scraping sound is but it feels as if it needs to be just a tad bit louder since the music seems a little overbearing compared to it.

You're really outdoing yourself Slagar, I seriously do hope these make it to the game, I'll drop a message to Regalis if he doesn't see this. Also, this is a little suggestion for when you might make 914, I really think it'd be neat for it to have a slight 'steampunk' feel to it. The only example I could really think of similar was the discombobulate theme from the Sherlock Holmes film. Something a bit calmer, but in a similar tone would be really cool. You're really doing a great job, I love what you've been doing so far.

So much talent in this small little forum. It's great Slagar keep it up. This is why I hope none of us ever move on to AAA companies, I mean there's the pay but indie games are something special. In my humble opinion.

I'm not really too sure how to make it Steampunk-esque as I've never done anything Victorian or mechanical, but I'll definitely give it a try and see what I can learn from the song you posted. Thank you for you kind words as well, I was worried I wasn't doing that good of a job at making these so it's very reassuring to hear!

I'm really not all that talented, but thank you regardless! I have a feeling the future of gaming lies in smaller companies anyway, as big ones can't take any risks without risking everything, which is why indie games can be so unique and innovative.

I'll edit this post or make a new one if someone else posts before when I have another one ready.

EDIT: Here's 914, inspired by Omniary's example, without that I probably wouldn't have thought to use a harpsichord as to get that metallic sound. I have two versions, one with a constant ringing and one with more lower pitched "deep gears" activity. Let me know which you prefer as I couldn't decide.
