Loving them! I really like 1025's theme, it fits it quite well. On for 914, I like it as well, you managed the Victorian theme quite well, though I kinda feel that it's a bit too imposing for 914, since it's a giant clockwork steampunk machine that somehow refines things, I'd figure it'd be a little more upbeat. It's still a good track though, maybe just a bit too dark for the SCP.
It slep time bunner.

I'm enjoying coming back to this thread just to see what you post next Slagar. I love everything you have done so far. I would add only one thing abotu 173's concept music. I like how subtle the scraping sound is but it feels as if it needs to be just a tad bit louder since the music seems a little overbearing compared to it.
Thank you for both the encouragement and criticism! I increased the scratching volume a bit, is this better?

You're really outdoing yourself Slagar, I seriously do hope these make it to the game, I'll drop a message to Regalis if he doesn't see this. Also, this is a little suggestion for when you might make 914, I really think it'd be neat for it to have a slight 'steampunk' feel to it. The only example I could really think of similar was the discombobulate theme from the Sherlock Holmes film. Something a bit calmer, but in a similar tone would be really cool. You're really doing a great job, I love what you've been doing so far.
I'm not really too sure how to make it Steampunk-esque as I've never done anything Victorian or mechanical, but I'll definitely give it a try and see what I can learn from the song you posted. Thank you for you kind words as well, I was worried I wasn't doing that good of a job at making these so it's very reassuring to hear!
So much talent in this small little forum. It's great Slagar keep it up. This is why I hope none of us ever move on to AAA companies, I mean there's the pay but indie games are something special. In my humble opinion.
I'm really not all that talented, but thank you regardless! I have a feeling the future of gaming lies in smaller companies anyway, as big ones can't take any risks without risking everything, which is why indie games can be so unique and innovative.

I'll edit this post or make a new one if someone else posts before when I have another one ready.

EDIT: Here's 914, inspired by Omniary's example, without that I probably wouldn't have thought to use a harpsichord as to get that metallic sound. I have two versions, one with a constant ringing and one with more lower pitched "deep gears" activity. Let me know which you prefer as I couldn't decide.

EDIT 2: Because both of them took so much less time than the others had (and I really wanted to keep working instead of doing homework), I also managed to make 1025 as well as 914.

There should be definitely deep and low church bells/gongs. Maybe a bit of ghastly breathing, like 106's.
I agree and approve with that, Omi. The deep and low church bells/gongs would mak the ambience more scary to 513 containment.

I love the revised version of scp 173's concept music. It's perfect now, thanks Slagar. I think if I was to choose between scp 914's concepts I would choose the revised version since it has enough variety in it not to feel too repetitive. I absolutely loved 1025's concept music. You don't need to change anything with that. I tried to listen to scp 106's concept music to compare with the others and the link isn't working now. :(

Hmm, I was just trying to make it sound like mechanical clanging like machines working, but I can see how it seems pretty dark. The issue is that when I tried to use higher notes it just sounded too much like someone just playing the harpsichord and not a machine. I can try a few things to see if I can fix that though, probably get on that tonight.

Are you sure? 372 is very bassy, but I also added some distortion into it naturally so it may not be your speakers giving out but just how the song sounds. Is the distortion in a few parts or is it consistent throughout? Personally I have pretty bass heavy speakers, so listening to 372's theme at max volume is an interesting experience for me... (of course I use flatline headphones when I'm making it so my EQing isn't all wonky because of all dat BASS)
It would be good, if an ambience would be in SCP-513 containment when implementation is finished.
I thought 513 was removed? It sounds fun to do though.

Yeah, that's immediately what I thought of too! Guess great minds think alike. In case you haven't noticed I've been using you original list of ideas as my main source of inspiration in making these.

I really enjoy 1025's theme too. I was concerned while making it that the synth coming in and out was too obtrusive at first, but now I think it's perfect. 914 is going through some changes as it is, and I agree the original was too repetitive.

Thank you all as always for comments, ideas, support, and criticism! I'll post the fixed list below and get to work on seeing if I can make 914's theme more upbeat.

EDIT: I increased the pitch of the 914 but left the notes the same and did some rearranging of effects, hopefully this sounds a bit more upbeat. Added to the list and unless anyone tells me otherwise, I'll stop posting the original two 914 concepts and this will take their place. It still sounds pretty dark though, that just seems to be the way a harpsichord is. I may go back and change it some more regardless of whether anyone tells me too and see if I can't change that without discarding the Victorian feel.

EDIT 2: Here's 895. I did a bit different style for this one, but I think it came out quite nice. Let me know how the static and camera sounds compare to the synths volume wise.

Sometimes, then it's probably the song :)

Good work there!
Can you make a new theme for SCP-860-1? :D
