I don't like the idea of an insane guard. It makes the personnel seem totally unprepared for containment breaches. I mean their in the Foundation for God's sake, they should be mentally ready for something like this, that's why their chosen. They aren't exactly normal people, they have skills that make them effective for what they do. Sorry for the mini rant, but yeah, other idea's are good though.

They could be a recent Recruit.

Remember. Even the toughest Soldiers during some Wars could eventually succumb to Shell Shock.

Except these are anomalous and strange entities rather than guns and missles.

There is also the Suicidal Guard in the Bathroom too.

Yeah, I'm sorry, I was just sick of all the foundation articles that have the personnel acting like horror movie teen idiots. But that's other peoples writing, though I suppose a crazy guard who thinks you've been infected with 008 would make a lot of sense.
