Rouge Unarmed Class-D against a highly trained soldier with a P90 Submachine gun... I think gas would distract them more, even with their gas masks. Maybe they could say things like "Looks like the Old AI is f*cking with us." or "Someone needs to fix those gas valves"
It could also effect there aim as well, possibly being unable to see through the smoke.

Yeah, you can't shoot what you can't see. Even if the smoke won't choke them, it can still affect their vision.

Another way to escape from the MTFs could be an accessible vent system, it could work as an alternative path to other rooms.
There should have a 15% chance that SCP-173 spawns there.

A ladder could be added to access said vents, and I like the idea of 173 spawn.
