I am of the proponent that development being open to all is a positive thing, of course keeping a few secrets is good and all but telling other people of what you are doing/planning to do allows for them to give proper feedback.

Well, we can't really say much since there isn't much to be seen but keep up the good work!

Sadly, Not really. The ,onster is being made so the forest is, meh. All that needs to be done is some Texturing and we are in business.

I'm working on the monster right now, he has a lot of visible muscle and I've decided to try and get better acquainted with sculpting in Blender for this task of creating him, It may take some time but I'll aim for getting pictures for everyone to see soon.

Hello,
I'd find it very cool if you can also go offroad and get lost in the wood.
Not that there is an invisible wall or many trees so that you cant walk far away.
What do you think?

Yeah, almost all of us want that.
But instead of getting lost, the monster kills you.

I think veering off path should result in a threatening roar from afar, so it remains as a warning, rather than a sudden insta-death. That way, you'd make sure to keep off course and not to venture.
If you try again, or pass the boundry, however...

Actually. Heres the thing. If you go off path. The Path Dissapears and is all replaced by a flat tile. Meaning no way out. So then the monster finds you. And kills you.

I think thats a really good idea. But I would make it like this: You go off the path, and when you turn around the path has disapeared and replaced with trees. And if you look at the trail while walking backwards away.
The trail dissappears if you cant see it in the mist.
OK "The Path Dissapears and is all replaced by a flat tile" is also a good Idea im not shure.

Here is another idea sometimes the trail forks into two paths like discribed here
http://www.scp-wiki.net/document-860-iii-and-iv
But it not always happens, the wood sometimes looks differrent.
