Whenever I try to run the game above 1080p (4k, 2k) it crashes upon launching and says "unable to create 3d scene".

I don't know what you're talking about. I play on the highest quality and everything works fine, maybe you're PC is a bit too slow or you don't have a strong enough video card,

SCP CB doesnt allow 4096x2160. (Also this isn't Youtube. Because p means progressive.)
