^Well sometimes dropping items from the inventory causes them to respawn on erratic directions, so there can be a point where you drop an item inside the booth but it ends up being outside 914 (at the front or back end), which is annoying especially if it appears at the back (you can't pick it up again) because it's not recognized as being inside the Intake booth, it can't process it. It's happened to me a number of times too; occasionally I can't get the item from the back end of 914 (the only way to do so is to noclip). As far as I know though you can refine 3 items at once with no problems. As for refining the gas mask, it works; however, it's not written as 'Super Gas Mask' at the inventory though. Try processing it in 914 on Very Fine, wear it, and hold your sprint button and stop and see if your sprint meter refills quickly.

Thanks for the information. When I equip the refined gas mask, it still displays the regular message and my stamina meter will still lower when sprinting.

Hmm.. Well the message doesn't really change at all if you refine the Gas Mask, but it's weird though that nothing's changed on your end. If you did this on Very Fine, I guess it is a bug, because when I did it on 914 at VF my sprint meter still does go down, but it's much slower than before, and when I stop, it refills itself quickly. If you did this on Fine though, then I haven't tried it so I dunno.

I have tried on both settings, and normaly the message should change to "You put on the gas mask. It feels as if it was easier to breath than normally." I will try again later and I'll look in the source code to see if there could be a way to fix that.

The message no longer changes as far back as 0.9.3 when you refine the gas mask; sir Regalis probably changed it.

Hey. Just signed up so I could mention by experience of the item spawn bug.

Just tried the game on 2 separate machines (both freshly downloaded):

First machine is a laptop, i5-3230M, 6GB RAM, Radeon HD 7670M (2GB), WIndows 8.1. Bug is exactly as described here, items do not appear to spawn.

Second machine is a desktop, Athlon II X4 640, 4GB ram, Radeon HD 6770 (1GB), Archlinux (3.16.1-1-ARCH Kernel), running the game using wine (v1.7.25-1). Loading screen has half the text missing (http://postimg.org/image/r8do5ypkp/) but the game items appear to spawn in OK (http://postimg.org/image/ga2ens0zd/). Not entirely sure the floor should be that colour, but looks playable now! Not tested beyond that initial point (yet). Game also throws an error when exiting...but is no real problem.

That probably won't be of any help, but provides a little bit more data.

It would seem that while everything seemed to spawn in ok, the textures for scp-173 to do display....so whilst it's definitely there....i can't see it at all. Colours in the whole game were....interesting (http://postimg.org/image/neotajxmh/). Again, i'll probably put that down to LInux and Wine.

I was recording the game and SCP-513 didn't spawn in its room at all. I'm sorry, I can't give any more details for now because I recorded the episode with Diodissime on his computer and I won't be able to access it for some days.

Hi, new here, and I just want to know whether or not this issue is being resolved, as my v1.0.5 game also has no items spawning at all, and it's breaking the game for me. I'd love to try it now with its new feature, but haven't been able to yet.

Got an HP Pavilian Elite, with an ATI card BTW.

Hopefully this can be resolved pretty soon, as it's been plaguing a good few since 1.0.0 now, I believe.

I'm using v1.2.3 and I'm also having this issue. No items appear in the game most of the time. I have one save where the gas mask and batteries will appear in the storage room. However I can't pick them up and the id badge is still nowhere to be found in that room. If I use the item spawn console command than the items will spawn and I can pick them up.

I was thinking I could just play the game manually spawning the items but I would want to find the area an item is supposed to be first. I've never played the game before so I was wondering is there a console command that shows the items in the current room.

I don't have this issue, and I've never heard of anyone else having this issue. My guess is you have a corrupted file. Why don't you try downloading it again and seeing if it still occurs?
