Thread title. My game simply doesn't have items. I played for hours, not realizing that the fact there were no items in my game wasn't some patch feature.

No documents. No cardkeys. No gas mask.

No "note on the desk" in the intro. Nothing.

I downloaded 1.0.5, unzipped a "fix" in the other Bug Report thread regarding this, and it still has no items in it whatsoever.

No real cause that I can identify. I'm using a GTX 570, and another user was having the same problem and is also using a GTX 570. Maybe it's related?

I'd like a fix for this soon - I just rediscovered this game (and the amazing amount of patches since I've last played) and it's unplayable without items. Any hack will do.

I'm running Windows 8 - tried running CB in a virtualbox running Windows XP to no avail. Tried various compatibility modes. Nothing. Tried full screen, windowed mode, etc. Nada.

*Edit* I used the console to spawn a note and it fell to the ground fine. I picked it up, read it. Items work, but they aren't initially spawning.

I'm pretty sure he got it off the MEGA site. It should be fine. Though this has happened to a few people lately.

I have exactly the same problem. I downloaded the game from this site's mirror today (v. 1.06) and it doesn't show any items. I tried it with administrative mode, different resolutions and using my onboard grafic card. Also I tried using v. 1.05 with exactly the same outcome.
My PC is running on Windows 8.1 and I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770
I'd be glad if a fix would be released.

scp in windows 8 always get a weird problem. maybe it related to the graphic card
