Memory Access Violation 1.2.4

The game has been crashing and coming up with the message "memory access violation" each time I start up the game and just as i sit up in the bed in the intro sequence an turn right to face the paper on the desk or something.
I've tried lots of different methods to fix this including run as admin, turning off launcher, setting compatibility to xp service pack 3 and disabled bump mapping. None of these seem to work however and it crashes and exactly the same point each time i try. I've played the game and it seems to run fine until i look round to the bit of paper on the desk so that seems to be the only problem.
Any others experiencing the same problem and possibly have any fixes to this issue?

Have you tried skipping the intro?

I tried skipping the intro but I jut get the same error immediately.
Edit: After repeated attempts it seems it is whenever i look the slightest bit down or over to the right when the error occurs.

Im no expert on this game especially not on bug fixing but you could try: turning off fullscreen, turning off vsync, turning off hud and generally try to mess around with the options.ini file (or wait for 1.3 update)

It should be fixed in version 1.3 which should be coming out within a few days.

Now I can't seem to play it without my antivirus saying it is unsafe and removing the game haha
Edit: I got around it by disabling the antivirus and the game seems to work fine without the MAV. Just thought that was still worth mentioning though, thanks!
