once i get to the HCZ after I trigger SCP 049, everything glitches and becomes completely unplayable. is there even a way to fix this?

Agreed.

The point of a bug report is to be as specific as possible. You need to mention specific triggers and results you think could be at play so that developers can more easily fix the issue if one exists (sometimes it's just a corrupted download).

You're gonna have to be more specific than that

ok, so after the event, everything seems to flicker in and out of existance and the framerate drops to 7 fps, eventually crashing the game.

Sounds a bit like the problem that tom had in his videos sometime ago, if this happens again, turn on framerate limiter and put it to 60 fps
