A long time ago, before SCP and hospitals, before failed experiments and looking for a path, a young girl named Ivette waited for a subway, a labcoat slung over her shoulder and a piece of glass equipment that was ruined. She entered the now stopped train and sat in the nearest seat. She stared at the ground, she wanted it too swallow her up. She suddenly took the piece and threw it. It shattered against the door and all was silence. It was only then that she noticed a young man staring at her bleakly. He wore a tattered and ruined suit and a loose, red tie. He did not speak, and rather stared.
"I'm sorry, I just... I just got back from a job, and well, it didn't go as well," she thought to stop, but instead kept babbling on, "See I tried working as a scientist at a local research facility, but I completely blew it, the experiment ended up blowing a section of the room. I... I don't know what to do now..."
She looked up, he was still looking at her, and he said, "Do you know where you are going" he asked, to which Ivette shook her head. She honestly did not know what to do. He smiled and said, "Guess we're in the same boat. Don't worry about me, things just got hectic, and I couldn't stay where I was. Not like it matters now," he glanced out and saw the coast. They were going fast, arrival should not be long. "Do you think that we ever get second chances, ma'am?"
"Call me Ivette, and I believe so, otherwise we wouldn't be this far in life." she didn't know what to do, though. She figured that the best thing now was to keep searching.
"Call me Gale. You're stop is here, I believe?" he asked, and she nodded. "Well, goodbye Ivette"
"Wait, where are you going" she asks, and he replies with a warm smile, "I think I will go find my brother, I haven't spoken to him in a long time, I think that he will have forgiven me by now, eh?"

And now, standing before Gale, he said with a smile, "I guess we both found second chances".

Shortly after, Doctor Finlay and Doctor Kelman sat outside the room. How long it had been, they didn't know, but they had what they needed. A recording, all the information, and it had seemed to go well. Now, she wanted not to listen to the finla minute of the recording, for the blood-curdling scream that had ripped out of Gale's mouth was one she only found off of one being tortured. She had an idea of what had happened, but this would not go in the report.
"Kelman, just go back to your office, we never speak of this again, understand?"
