I look at my weapons. Shiny new and in perfect condition.

"Yeah, they are ok. You should see my costumized rifle at my base in the community. Its a true killing machine."

Sleep, been a while since I had more than 5 hours in a row of that.

"Ill keep watch, we'll change in 5 hours"

"Wow! that was so... emo. I mean, even in the middle of the end of the world one has to enjoy life. If one just thinks of blood, death and zombies, you become a living dead. And we have already enough problems with the un-living deads."

10:00 already? I sleept more than I thought today if it is already so late.

"I could stand the first guard if you want, I woke up not much time ago. Also if anyone could tell me we are we here before getting to sleep I would thank you."

I have to agree with the guy. Thinking about blood and death isn't the best thing to do.

"In about 2 days, a helicopter will be here to pick us up, and we'll be taken to the community ((I still have to think about a name for it)). One of the last places in which the humans can live and prosper."

OCC: What about "The Colony"?

"I wonder if in that community will be someone giving weapons or something."

A colony? There must be more survivor than I thought if they have some sort of organized settlement. I wonder if I would know anyone there... the last thing I knew about her was that she was leaving the city so maybe she would be there. Or maybe anyone of my old circle of friends.

Probably they are all dead, except the two ones called Paul. But one could hope that the rest would be there.

"A settlement? Sounds interesting. It wouldn't be dificult to prosper there... I mean humanity has pretty much hit the rock bottom."

"That's real, is hard to find a settlement with alive people, i found one once but it was filled with zombies."

I keep looking at my watch.

"It's the time slower or something? It's the 10:12 now."

"Also I heard that there are bandits that spread rumors about colonies only to attract people to their camp and having slaves. Wicked people, I tell you"

"Yeah i have heard that too, that's why my friend that is in a better place now didn't wanted to go in one"

I finish eating my bacon sandwich. Sigh, although food is plentyful in the colony, we have no pigs, so the only bacon we get, is the one we find.

"Yeah, bandits. Friendly people."

I stand up and stretch. There is a fine line between hunger, boredom and being tired.

"The thing is, they won't put up the act for long. The first chance they get, they stab you in the back"
