So after testing it out, I sent a few messages to myself I only received 2 of the 6 messages that were sent, lastly I tried another thing to test out the notifications sent to email when someone has replied or sent you a message, it appears you can only get those notifications when you are online.

The forum messaging and notification system fails, looks like for now if we want a reliable way of sending messages we are going to have to find some work around for them.

In contrast I have never had a situation where I know that the email system failed.

Also make sure that you have enough space in your folder to hold new PM's. The limit is 50.

well i get around 60 emails a day from when someone replies to me, ive switched everything off on my settings and i still get them :/

My inbox has 36 messages stored in it.
