I think i read that if a company found a decryption/encryption key belonging to a Mega user, Mega would help with the removing of the copyrighted file to prevent legal stuff.

Can,t remember where on the page i read it though.

Do Wat'cha Want!

*Puts on Pirate hat*
It's in no way like Megaupload *takes pirate hat*.
On uploading, storing and downloading the files will be encrypted, and can only be decrypted with a decryption key that belongs to the Mega account that the files come from.
You can't download from others shared folders if you don't have their decryption key.

It doesn't use downloadable software DjSaturn, it all happens on your browser.
It sounds secure and amazing really. It's useful for legitimate purposes so they can't just shut it down like *that* without pissing many, many people off; even moreso than last time.

I tried it out and it has trouble uploading bigger files.
I think it's because of my browser though...

Either way i'm sure they will fix it in the near future.

After all, it's still in beta.

Aw, I was kinda disappointed when I found out this wasn't actually a thread about clouds or their shapes.

Hm.

Still reading the stuff on their website, looks very promising.

They strongly recommend you use Google Chrome when you are on their website.

They had a huge amount of new accounts made in just the first few days, not sure but i think i read it was around 1,000,000 accounts in the first 48 hours.

I made an account on Mega and to let the ones who doesn't know it know, you set the decryption/encryption key-word by yourself.
