Allow me to sum it up for you:

George Lucas disowned it, and denies it ever happened. It's that bad. And this is the guy who made The Phantom Menace, the most pointless and unnneccesary movie ever made to fit into an existing series.

It's technically a 'Holiday Special', not a 'Christmas Special'. That means it's ruined all the holidays, not just Christmas.

Anyway, I'm still going to watch the movie, despite all the negativity. There's a slight chance it might be good. As I say, go into things with open minds.
