Okay, please don't slaughter me for this, but uh why do you guys enjoy the show? I've never seen it and most likely will never see it, but I'm genuinely curious on the appeal of the show. No disrespect, but uh color me curious.

Its just the way the characters are set up, content, animation, and one of few tv shows that actually grows tension and inspiration.

I can't speak for everyone, but I personally enjoy the show for the following reasons:

The characters: I love their designs, their voices, their personalities, the way they develop over time, and just how believable they can be. Seriously, I think they're among some of the best-written characters in recent children's cartoons.

The songs: I don't care how girly they can be. The songs are catchy as hell.

The tone: The show has a very bright, cheery, and optimistic tone. But at the same time, its characters demonstrate just enough cynicism and practicality to keep it more grounded in reality. I love it when a story can achieve that right balance between the two extremes.

The fanbase: There are loads of unlikable fans out there (Like the crazy obsessive types who try to force MLP into every damn conversation), but there are also plenty of likable, reasonable, and overall cool people who you can have decent conversations with. And there are just loads and loads of creative fans who create great stories, artwork, games, movies, etc. I actually feel good about relating with these people as a brony.

I understand that MLP isn't for everybody, so I don't really expect you to get into it.

Whoa, thanks for the informative responses guys. Most times some one brings up MLP they don't explain a darn thing, and are usually a bit heavy handed. Appreciate it.

I think 106phobia summed it up better than I could ever have done.

To really understand how amazing the show is, however, you need to experience it for yourself. After all, you'll never know if you like something unless you try it. (Exceptions include jumping into an active volcano, stepping on a land mine, taunting a grizzly bear, and playing Sonic 06.)

And stepping on a lego.
Seriously, it hurts like hell and surprises you a lot.

Yeah, this forum is about 90% brony, 1% furry, and 9% not brony. Is it weird that I'm kinda scared of bronies? Becaus, think about it. Their fanbase is so large! They could take over the world! Just a though for you guys to think about it. We need more bronies in this forum though. There are not enough.

I'm kinda surprised by the amount of active users who are bronies and furries myself. I would expect a forum dedicated to a horror game based on a sci fi/fantasy/horror series to have less of those types of people in it.

I'm surprised as well, it started off with a small handful of Bronies, now this place is the Unofficial Brony get together community.
