Small references really shouldn't hurt anyone. If it were, say, flooding a thread with pony pictures and whatnot, I'd understand. But it isn't.

The people who are overreacting are the ones that cause the derailment most of the time because they feel like their "comfort zone" has been penetrated. Those people need to get over themselves.

Who was the victim here people? The brony who made a play on words, or the anti-bronies who derailed the thread because they were offended by this play on words.

Any brony can say that.... But InnocentSam was offending a bit not to post pony words in a non-pony related thread.

I personally don't say what Sam says. Just... Those who are bronies, you can post your pony-related lines and words. I don't say offensively not to post it.

The pony problem isn't an issue on every forum. The forum that I visit most often has plenty of bronies, but they don't raise any drama or post too many needless MLP references outside of the MLP thread.

I'm not sure how bad the brony problem is in these forums, because I'm kinda new and I haven't visited too many threads. But I can say that if both bronies and anti-bronies can just learn to chill out, things would be easier. Bronies should tone down the obnoxious MLP references, and anti-bronies shouldn't blow up at just a few minor refs. (Though if the refs do get out of control, then by all means complain about it and take care of the problem)
