For a recap, the September 11 attacks involved four airliners crashed into select targets in the US, note that all of these plans were hijacked in mid air and full of passengers. The more notable attack was two of these planes crashing into the "Twin Towers" or the World Trade Center, the attacks resulted in about 3,000 deaths.

Also why I get pulled aside when traveling to Iran. The government doesn't seem to get the difference between Persians and Arabs.
