But why do you have to bring attention to the 'older' aspect? Do you really have to use such a name to differ from the younger fans of the show? To be fair, your parents do have reason for concern. Not so much because you watch a show that some pedos might watch, but rather, because you're a teenager stating that he's essentially part of some 'cult' (From the way some of you explain this hobby, it does sound like it) that they don't know much about during your adolescent years. Most parents would usually get a bit worried, regardless of what you say you joined.
i agree it is a parental thing that they worry about things you think they shouldn't worry about such as your hobbies and entertainment interests i know it gets really annoying at times but they think its for your own good

And it just too painful for me that he left for a few days because he does not know who to believe.He was one of my best friends,I can't believe that the objection had such a great impact on him.

It's (usually) a gaming term which refers to an experienced user posing as a newbie by utilizing a different name and account.
The whole issue is almost as absurd as parents getting worked-up over Harry Potter, thinking it promotes witchcraft. Same thing with D&D back in the 80's and 90's.
At least Luna's folks have some kind of empirical evidence, despite the untrustworthiness of their sources.

Hmm, their 'evidence', I tried searching up bronies in google to try and find out where they got their research, all I found were rather safe articles about bronies and a couple of pages about brony meet ups, even Urban Dictionary had a rather positive definition on bronies. So I have no idea where they could have found this stuff unless they deliberately looking up something bad about them, or they dug a little too deep and found a negative article on us and applied some 'Muslims and 9/11' logic.

Wow, a crap ton of stuff happened huh? And to be honest, that argument was kinda started because of my posting of that "Friendship is Manly" video. It caused Glitch to say something, and then ImNotBlappy said something, and then an argument occurred... ugh. Oh well, no point crying over spilled milk. Let bygones be bygones.
