I'm am tempted to close this thread due to it's subject matter on illegal substances.

However, I should also stress that if you are under 18 you should not smoke marijuana, it has been shown in a study that use of this drug under age can impair intelligence, attention and memory, as well as other possible neurological harm (L. Klein, 2012). It has also been shown that prolonged use can impair neural connectivity in the brain (A, Zalesky, 2012). Though it has also been suggested that the use of the drug has no serious affect in children and teenagers. Nonetheless I would stress to not put your own mental state, and your future life, at risk for a drug.

I agree with Steelpoint, even through your at a legal age, it can still do you harm.

I'm drug free, inching towards the end of my teenage years and ready to go off to a good college. I thank my good upbringing for this.

I saw an old pot smoker on the streets once...yeah, that's where most of them end up.

Well... I've never smoked or used a drug. Although, I don't like to smoke or drink alcohol at all. It's too risky for your health to do that. Also, I agree with Steelpoint‘s statements.

I should reword me statement a bit, the studies I specified were focused on people under the age of 18. People over that age seemingly are not affected by these afflictions.

Thanks for the facts Steelpoint. I'm glad you posted this, because I don't really like the idea of this thread representing any of us. I know it's only someone expressing themselves, but it feel's a bit... I dunno, wrong for younger members.

I don't think pot is good for ANYONE, but it's effects are probably the worst for younger developing kids. Damn teens nowadays, smoking pot and thinking they're the shit :P Although some have serious psychological problems that they try to deal with using drugs.

Nope. You just seem way too young to even be a pot smoker. This list is for actual pot smokers, not wannabe's. If you can confirm it however then I will gladly add you.
