Divorced parents

Soo, well, I don't know a nice way to start this topic so I will just go to the point.
My parents are divorced, Not by law, but they live separated. Since the divorce they just keep figthing each other, sending what in Mexico we call "Mentadas de Madre". The worse thing if that I am beetwen all those fights, taking many of the hits. Sometimes I fell like a tool, just used for, to put it on a way, trow gasoline to the fire, (say to your mother she can go to... Tell your father he is a lazy son of a ...) my father is the one who worse treat me, always being mean to me (couldn't find a word for that in English) even when the problem is with my mother, not with me.
But, I'm triying to look the bright side of the things, as a Mexican blogger said:
"If we don't laugh at life, life will end up laughing to us"
