Item #: SCP-087-J

Object Class: S̶a̶f̶e̶ Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-087-J is located on the campus of University of Southern California. The doorway leading to SCP-087-J is constructed of reinforced chocolate with a laugh-release troll mechanism. It has been disguised to resemble a janitor closet doorway consistent with the design of the building. The troll mechanism on the doorjello will not release unless ██ dB of laughing are applied in conjunction with clockwise rotation of the miniture trollface-themed key, followed by a boxing glove popping out of an openable hatch in the door and punching the nearest person accurately in the dick, followed by the opening of the door. The inside of the door is lined with 6 centimeters of jelly foam padding.

Due to the results of the final exploration (see Document 087-J-IV), no personnel are permitted access to SCP-087-J, and has been redesignated as SCP-087.

Description: SCP-087-J is a nicely-lit platform staircase. Stairs descend on a 38 degree angle for 13 steps before reaching a semicircular platform of approximately 3 meters in diameter. Descent direction rotates 180 degrees at each platform. The design of SCP-087-J limits subjects to a visual range of approximately over 9000 flights. A light source is not necessary for any subjects exploring SCP-087-J. Lighting sources brighter than 75 watts have shown to be Super-effective, as SCP-087-J seems glow brighter with each watt.

Subjects report and audio recordings confirm the sound of a laughing, histarical child estimated to be located approximately 200 meters below the initial platform. All attempts to descend SCP-087-J have failed to bring subjects any closer to the child. The depth of descent calculated from Exploration IV, the longest exploration, is shown to be far beyond both the possible structure of both the building and geological surroundings. At this time, it is unknown if SCP-087-J has an endpoint.

Figure A: Still Frame taken from video footage of Exploration I
SCP-087-J has undergone four video recorded explorations by Class-D personnel. Each subject conducting an exploration has encountered SCP-087-J-1, which appears as a clown face consistant with normal circus clowns. The nature of SCP-087-J-1 is entirely clear (to make everyone happy!). Subjects exhibit feelings of intense happiness and laughter when faced with SCP-087-J-1, but it is undetermined whether said feelings are abnormal or simply natural reactions.

Subjects inside SCP-087-J have told of the experience to be the "best damn moment of their lives" and that "they would never leave that place".

Addendum:
Over a period of 2 weeks following Exploration IV and SCP-087's subsequent "relocation" to the campus of :REDACTED: , several members of the staff and students from the campus of the University of Southern California reported knocking at a variable rate of 1-2 seconds per knock coming from the behind the wall which was previously occupied by SCP-087-J. All reports of knocking have ceased after 2 weeks.

It's a reverse 087. Mildly amusing, I suppose. That clown is creepier than the face in the actual stairwell.

Heh.

"Subjects inside SCP-087-J have told of the experience to be the "best damn moment of their lives" and that "they would never leave that place"."

I would add that.

You know what... I'm gonna revive and finish this stupid thing. I've let it sit for long enough. Anybody is free to post on the Exploration I thread and give honest thoughts about a 2 year old project. Before I write the second exploration log, I'll do some general fixes and improvements.
