Well, i have been showing symptoms of genetics-caused myopia, and i never liked glasses and they don't look exactly right on my face, i'm getting contact lenses too.
I had an aunt that had contact lenses. They're not that hard to take care of but they ARE fragile. When you're not wearing them they must be in this sort of special liquid so they stay clean, when you're going to wear them, you need to use some of that special liquid on the lenses then apply them carefully.
Sillicon contact lenses degrade in about 3-4 months, they need replacement after that.
And i heard that it takes time to get used to them at first, too.

Basically this.
I was tired of glasses too and it's been arnoud 8 month since I started using lenses. Yes it's hard to get used to it. The hardest thing about it is putting them on your eyes. It will be very hard at first but after some time you will get used to it.
If you want to use lenses because of a bad view, the result is pretty much the same with glasses except when you're used to the lenses, you won't feel them at all. Just like normal. You can't wear them while you sleep and you can't use them in a pool.

I wouldn't be able to put on contact lenses if I tried. Seriously, my eyelids are way too protective. They don't trust anything or anyone. Being in a room with 173 would suck.

I have that same problem. My eyelids are massive pussies.

Likewise. I just can't get the lense on my eye at all, hence.. I still wear glasses while I'm infront of my screen.
I just can't get over the fact of having to put something on my eyeball... I blink no matter what.
Although I did wear them for a short time about 13 years ago-ish. Never again. Seriously.. I'll stick with my glasses.

I've been wearing lenses since school began, for me it was not, but I've heard that at the beginning it can be really itchy, also, you should be careful with the amount of time that you have them on. One day I had to go to get them taken out of my eye because I kept them in my eyes for 2 consecutive months, so, I'll recommend you to take them out each weekend and put them on Sunday night. If you're lazy, just use glasses.

If you are still wondering, they are a pain to put on, and they burn for a few minutes. If they are not properly sanitized, then you will have a sharp burning sensation in your eye. They sit on the liquid on the eye, not the eye itself. When you have dry eyes you must take them out, or you will have a sharp burning sensation. If you wear then while you sleep they will be moved and you will have to realign them along with having dry eyes. You receive little oxygen to your eye, so it's harder to get rid of dirt and chemicals from the eye. If you wear they while swimming, the chlorine will stick on the contact, and have a lasting burning sensation in your eye.
Glasses for 4 years, contacts for 2 years, still going on. I prefer them to glasses though, after putting them in that you can just forget about them for 8 hours. Max record of keeping them in is 11 days. After wearing them a long time, you can start keeping them in overnight, although it's probably not good for you. Contacts can also scratch your eye, I had mine checked after the 11 days, no scratches. The only time they suck is putting them in, or if you have a problem. You can live with one contact, but if it's your primary eye you need to close it or you can get a really bad headache.
I prefer contacts over glasses by a long-shot.
Oh, and if you have problems just get REALLY close to a mirror.
If you get contacts, they will walk you through the entire maintenance process.
You keep them in a case with a sterile saline solution, and it cleanses and hydrates your contacts.
Every month you insert new contacts.
Need any help, just question the internet or PM me. I recommend you try them for a month or two months. And just remember, the longer you have them the better the experience gets.

Burning sensations. Burning sensations everywhere.
If I ever need eye correction, I'll just get laser eye surgery. As long as they don't use a laser designed to cut or burn (Lol, what are the chances of that?), it's better than contacts or glasses.

Glasses apparently make you look swaggy for some reason. Some amentiacs buy frames without lenses because it's "in".
