I should note that people who IM "kill yourself" to others actually made the victims commit suicide, which is down straight wrong.

Just because people don't go into super-care mode doesn't mean they are indifferent to what is happening. It is not a competition to who is the most caring.

Also, if a person just randomly says they are going to kill themselves, it is mostly because they want to attract attention. Almost everyone who is suicidal or has suicidal thoughts never share them because they think people don't care about them.

Hey, I'm going through a similar situation (don't want to talk about it because this isn't about me), so don't antagonize me! This "super-care mode" is the only nice mode I've got buddy!

Spartan was not antagonizing you. He was explaining a point.

And in regards to helpfulness, it is very helpful to explain to someone that they must calm down, ease their tensions, and rationally think about their personal problems. Which is what most of us were saying.

I know. It's just I can't stand ignorance in any degree.

I'mNotBlappy made it very clear what was wrong in the first place, I don't see how we could have pried in even more when he explained it quite explicitly.

It's not about making someone feel better. I was, and many other people were very sincere in their posts, so don't cause more drama by accusing them for giving their own advice.

No need for apology, don't know why you would assume such a reaction. Maybe it's just the way I write, but I'm not grilling you or anything, I'm just giving my input on the last few posts. No one is in the wrong here, don't worry.

Well this is an unproductive thread.

If I did not care in any way I wouldn't of posted, simple.

But, take a deep breath and look at what you are saying, I don't want to hear you say you are going to kill yourself nor do I actually want you to commit suicide.
