By definition, Syphen could be a fetish in the sense that he's an entity, and the definition suggests "fetish (...) linked (...) to an entity". Think of it as sort of a sexual obsession concerning any specific thing. In adition, fetish as a sexual obsession is a rather new meaning, as fetish usually meant just (in a general sense) "idol, specially of pagan nature", which again, can be perfectly applied to a person.

In fact, that's probably not even what yonzo meant. He was considering Syphen's habit of making disturbing images a fetish, and by saying "post (...) syphen weird fetish here", he meant "post (...) syphen['s] weird fetish here", which has a totally different meaning.

Speaking of obsessions, I really don't understand why you're nitpicking on this insignificant detail. Don't call me hypocritical, I'm just clearing up this misconception.
