I would like to help, but I would need more info on the game. Not just what type of game it is.

Well technically I don't work on games, I do mods and the mods I work on use a very old script language called ACS, but I am sure it wouldn't be too hard to learn another language, C++ would actually be the easiest one for me to learn but we'll see, there are a few things I need to know first.

1. What are you plans for this, do you have a storyboard or even just a story for it? Keep in mind some of the stuff you want for it might not actually get put in.
2. Can you help keep a team together? Seeming as you are the one suggesting it, you would be leader for this "Project"?
3. Have you decided on an engine for it/What are the limitations of this engine?
4. Is this going to be non-profit? Surely you know that a lot of games out there quite usually don't get enough funding which can pay for things like higher range hardware or software
5. Can you contribute to anything other than sounds? Remember you have to have someone who can model (Depending on what the engine is, if it's a 2D game we'll need someone that can make sprites), create maps (I can do this), make textures/graphics, Script (I can also do this), someone who writes the story/plans the game and maybe even someone who irons out all the bugs in the code.

On a more serious note, good luck finding everyone you need for this.

Well the idea is for a game based on a story i wrote called "the cabin". If you want an idea of what this game is gonna be like. Think of cry of fear or afraid of monsters. Its gonna have fucked up imagery on some parts. Scary enemies. And a rattling storyline. Its not gonna be a very long game. Infact its probably only gonna take roughly 5-10 minutes IF THAT to complete. The game will have two endings depending on a variety of a certain part of the game and how you face it. I dont wanna give too much away. But what i will need is. Someone who can do cutscenes. A good modeler and rigger. A script person (obviously) I graphic and texture designers. Some voice actors. And last but not least I'm gonna need a weapon designer. Coder and modeler can work togethe on that if need be but yes. there will be weapons. well just one actually. BUT i will hand sound effects. soundtrack design. And I will be leader of the project since its my idea. If you beleive you have skills i need to make this a worthwhile game. send me a private message. And I will get back to you as soon as I can.

I could voice act, I guess. But do you have an idea of what engine you are going to use?
Here are some engines I recommend. (I am missing some, you can add on)
Spoiler
Free:
Unity: Not the best out there (unless it is used correctly), but it is really simple.
Blender: Is a little better, but I have never used it, so I don't know if it is simple.
FPSC: It is SOOOOO easy, but it is not....well.....good.
UDK(Old): It is not that easy, but you can figure it out. I think the new one is money though.
Source: I have never used it, and I am not 100% sure if it actually is free.

Cheap (Under 20.00):
Terror Engine: It is very simple, well graphics, already made monsters. It is also only 15.00.
Cry Engine: It looks really good, and I am pretty sure it already contains things like guns and such.

20.00:
GameGuru: It is very simple, looks pretty damn good. It also comes with NPCs and scripts. I am using this for my 008 game

plus blender isnt a game engine. It's a modeling software. I'm either gonna have it made on Unity or Source. But. tbh as long as it looks good and can run well for people. I dont give a fuck what engine its on. I just kknow ive seem some rad shit on Source.

Actually, Blender can be used to make games. There is even a website on games made in it.

Blender is pretty limited in terms of game creation when compared to other, more powerful engines.

I'd say avoid Source if this is your first time developing games. Its tools and editor are really outdated which can make it very difficult to work with at times.

It's probably best to start off with Unity for your first time, although IMO Unreal Engine is a better choice if you're planning on making this a fully-fledged game. Also Cryengine sucks lol

Im not gonna be the one using the engine. Like i said im gonna be doing sound track sfx and keeping the project in order.

there will be a person who will put everything together with the team using an engine they're familiar with.
