For games, get DS3, that means that you can configure the controller to work in games, but outside, I am not sure. Plus you need a bluetooth connector. Doing this while listening to Gangnam Style..........................................wierd!

I'm using XPadder. It's working (i think) on any OS with any controller.

For hardware, just get a cable or wireless connecting station for the controllers.
I have a double Dual-Shock 2 cable to play my old genesis games on a emulator, and it works perfectly.
However, most games when you get them will NOT detect and use the controllers.
Download Joy2Key, it's free, and help you. Then look up a tutorial for it.
