Although I am a little curious about what would happen if 106 looked 096 in it's face.

edit: alright after reading it again, I guess i just assumed that he ate people because in the article it says things like:

This effect is particularly detrimental to living tissues, and is assumed to be a “pre-digestion” action.

and

When attacking, SCP-106 will attempt to incapacitate prey by damaging major organs, muscle groups, or tendons, then pull disabled prey into its pocket dimension.

However, it does not distinctly say that he eats his "prey." Although it is assumed that they undergo a state of pre-digestion.
