You could use Anvil Studio.

It is free and it will help you learn to play the Piano / Keyboard.

It " would " work better If you had a real keyboard and connected it to your PC and then you could use the Keys but since you don't have one, You can use the Letters on your Keyboard.

It might seem a bit confusing at first but you will get used to it. :) I tried Anvil Studio way before I hooked my Keyboard to my Laptop and I was playing a-ha songs almost non-stop using just my Keyboard Letters.

You can also download MIDI files and open them with Anvil Studio. It shows you what note is played when that part of the song is played. Once you get the hang of it, You can try something bigger like FL Studio [ I have the Producer Edition but it is rather expensive ].

I always make the basis of my Songs on Anvil Studio. It even helped me learn to play my Yamaha Keyboard properly.

The moment you load it, You will be able to start playing straight away.

Example [ Using your PC Keyboard ] -

P P P P P P [ O

O O O O O P O I I

I I I I I I I

is the Start of the first verse of the song " The Sun Always Shines On Tv ". It makes -

" I reached inside myself and found,

Nothing there to ease the pressure,

Off my ever worrying mind. "

If you play that and listen to the song, You will hear the same melody. You can also change the Instrument Voice to another one If you don't like using a Piano Sound. There are Strings like Violins, Violas.. Woodwinds like Oboes [ My personal favourite Instrument ], Clarinets and Flutes.. Electic Pianos, Choirs, Guitars, Synths [ Very nice to use these! ].

Anvil Studio will also show the keys on screen being pressed as you play, So you will know exactly how to play it on a real Piano.

I helped a friend of mine through Skype to use Anvil Studio then FL Studio Free Edition and he is really making some pretty epic tunes. Some of them sound like something off a Soundtrack. Thing is, It all came from him. Not me. I just taught him how to use it. He was just able to express himself.

Back in middle/high school, I used to play alto saxophone, but I eventually ended up getting bored of it. We do have a synthesizer I like to plunk around on sometimes, but otherwise I leave all the musician stuff in the family to my papa.

With him as the musician, mom as the dancer, and me as the artist, we're a pretty talented family if I do say so myself~
