As it says putting the gas mask in 914 will make it into the Super Gas Mask. But when I put it in there on Fine or Very Fine it just stays as a normal gas mask.

Are you sure? Because in the newer versions of the game, the gas mask doesn't say "You feel like it's easier to breathe" anymore when you put it on, and it goes down 3-4 bars on the sprint meter when running (before stopping). It doesn't have a special name, either, it's just Gas Mask.
