I installed the new update shortly after discovering it, and when I tried to start the game after extracting the files, my windows defender blocked it. the message read the following.

Windows Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk.

I'm running a Windows 10 laptop, and this thing keeps thinking the game is a virus. please help.

Is there an option to ignore the warning? As it is a false alarm

Nope, the only option is to click "Don't Run"
If I had the option to ignore it, I wouldn't be here.
I just want to play meh game ;-;
