The diving suit has to have some weak spots such as the visor area or the joints, It makes it a bit more realistic because if the entire suit was plated with armor the user would barely if not be able to move or see.
Also, here's another suggestion. If the suit gets damaged or punctured its ability to withstand EVA pressure would be decreased and you'd need to repair it every few times it gets damaged.
This idea might not make it into the steam release but I just feel like it adds a bit more realism.

#2Maybe in a mod, assuming it's possible, but right now, it seems like a waste of time for the developers, and unnecessary.

#4Maybe there could be a suit integrity bar that decreases as you take damage and if it hits 0 you get crushed and the more damage it has the faster your oxygen drains
