I reduced the polycount from ~10k to ~3600. This produced a couple of holes due to the way 173 was originally put together, so I fixed up any edges that became messed up after being simplified. The end result looks pretty much exactly the same, but with almost 1/3 of the original number of polys :)

That is a question I'd like to know too. I haven't been able to find a good b3d exporter, which is kind of important for working with Blitz3d. Would anyone like to share how they are accomplishing this? :)

The thing is, that already had a model and a room, yet Regalis chose to not implement it. I'm guessing because it in the game is so incredibly OP.

Well I'm glad you're using my model :) I thought I had eliminated all of those "zones", but I will take a look at the one you circled and try to find if there are any others.
EDIT: ahh, I was originally editing 173 on top of a dark gray background. I switched to a white one and now it's much easier to see the few holes that I missed. I fixed every seam I could find, but please let me know if you see any more on this new model http://www.mediafire.com/?77munky3f7er9r1

EDIT: I briefly checked out fragMOTION. As long as the free version doesn't have any limitations on exporting, I'll be sure to use it next time I need to export a model to Blitz or Half Life ;)
