Just wondering, you know, that big floating cube in 106's chamber, 106 escaped, so it has been lowered to the floor, but why is it floating again when you find the room? This makes no sense to me.

It's possible that the person who free'd him put it back up again, why they did however is hard to say.

Now, I may be absoluetly wrong with this, but from what I have seen, the breach occured because of SCP-079 getting access to remote door control and control over the facility in general, so it might have freed SCP-106 and then, float the containment cell back up.

Assuming the Chaos Insurgency released 106, the recall procedure was being prepped, but they probably flipped it on to slow the Foundation down at the same time the major breach occurred.

That might have been aimed at hindering the re-containment of SCP-106, then yeah.

So that the breach wasn't as obvious until someone heard the breathing.

Especially if it was turned on when they were placing the Class-D in the cell.

SCP079 could've accessed the site's server and then lowered it. Anyways, if it is, then shouldn't the Chamber machines be disconnected from the whole site? Also, if this would be true, SCP-173's breach would've never happened.

One word - gameplay

Well, I don't remember if it was said in the game that 079 is responsible for 106 breach, but I always assumed that is wasn't directly related.

106 can escape his normal overcomplex chamber with some time when he sees fit, and the chamber in game is a temporary contaiment with far less security than the one specied on the protocols. Also 106 is known to spent lot of times dormant ( months even) and then, in the worst moment possible, breaching and causing great damage to the sites where he is contained.

I always assumed that when the chaos insurgency started their plans, 106 breached out by himself to play with both the insurgency and the foundation.
