I tried using that modified source code, but it did nothing to increase my fps.
My system specs are:
Intel Core i7-3630 - 2.40 GHz
8 gb de ram
Windows 7
Intel HD Graphics 4000
Now that I saw what my graphic actually is I suspect that's the reason the fps is so absurdly low. Goddamnit.
Re: Anything to fix the lag?
#22The game worked fairly well for me when I used the integrated GPU.Juicy wrote:An integrated GPU? Yes, that's probably the cause. Never NEVER buy a computer with an integrated GPU.
SCP-860-1 is terribly inefficient so I'll make an improved executable, hopefully that helps.

#23Intel Core 2 Duo 2.93GHz
2 GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia Geforce 240GT
Windows 7
Was getting pretty good fps in past updates, if i remember right i was capable of recording with fraps still getting 40 fps when configuring it right. Now i'm getting 20 FPS most of the time without recording.
Intro room and 860 especially smack my framerate.

#24How frustrating.... my family's desktop pc runs it fine and it's a worse machine than my laptop =/Juicy wrote:I didn't know it was a laptop, I've checked your GPU specs and they aren't bad, you should be able to run the game with a decent frame ratejuanjpro wrote:The game worked fairly well for me when I used the integrated GPU.Juicy wrote:An integrated GPU? No idea :/
Well, hopefully tomorrow's bugfixes will improve my fps.
Re: Anything to fix the lag?
#25Do older versions still work properly for you? I could check the code to find any major differences between old versions and new ones to find and fix this problem, but I need to know where to look first. Which is the latest version that works for you?Enma Ai wrote:I haven't played on 860 yet (for some reason my fps for this game has been CRAP since version 0.7 or something)
Re: Anything to fix the lag?
#26I only played one or two versions after 0.7, (0.8 and 0.9, I think, and I can't find a download link for any versions after 0.7.2 so I can't test this properly) but I remember they had very low fps, same as now (lowest I ever got was 5, highest was 20 and only for, like, 2 seconds). 0.7 played fine most of the time (fps between 20 and 30), but would sometimes drop to less than 15, depending on the room and events (more than one npc around, for instance).juanjpro wrote:Do older versions still work properly for you? Re: Anything to fix the lag?
#27Have you tried installing DirectX 9? I read that it provides better DirectX 7 emulation than the newer versions.
Re: Anything to fix the lag?
#28now that I think of it, why was the FPS meter removed? I never saw it for a while!
bleh
Re: Anything to fix the lag?
#29It was just disabled by default, you can re-enable it in previous versions.SCP-Sean wrote:now that I think of it, why was the FPS meter removed? I never saw it for a while!
It probably was disabled because only developers care about it.
Re: Anything to fix the lag?
#30Getting a consistent FPS of 15-20 while at 1680x1050 fullscreen, occasionally dropping as low as 5. At 1360x768 windowed I'm getting consistent FPS of 30 with occasional dips to 25.
OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit (6.3, Build 9600)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
GPU: 4GB GeForce GTX 660
Memory: 16GB Ram
Direct X 11 (uncertain if that's even a factor with SCP:CB, but better throw it in)
Absolutely psyched for v1.0, can't wait for the fix.
