Re: Improved intro
#182I LOVE the idea of an intercom-ish voice giving daily reminders too. Like "Always remember, safety is our number one option" Or something along those lines

Re: Improved intro
#183This idea with intercom announcements reminds me Dishonored broadcast system... While guards are escorting you to the 173 chamber, you can hear some randomly chosen announcements through the intercom. For example: "This is a reminder for Engineering and Technical Service. The blast door outside the containment room of SCP-079 cannot be opened, due to today's SCP-106 containment breach. Remember, SCP-079 containment chamber must be restored as soon as possible." Something like this.
You are like an annoying house fly! Buzz buzz buzzbuzz- Slap! It's time to swap the fly!
Re: Improved intro
#184I think if the intro gets updated and the player gets escorted through more of the facility with people actually in it the PA system could say something about containment issues with 106 then player could see a some gaurds/security personnel run past them yelling
something like MOVE ASIDE and as they are passing the player could hear radio chatter coming from radio tranceivers on their belts or something.(106 breached containment first, right?)

Re: Improved intro
#185I think the intro could use more tutorial aspects for new players. Sure, it tells you how to read documents, that's great. But new players might not know that the same method is used for keycards and other useful items.
Let's say there's a cup in the cell. The game can tell the player to pick it up using the left mouse button. Then, it will tell him to press tab, go into the inventory, double click the cup, and then click the faucet. Then it will tell the player to do it again to drink the water.
Just something simple like that. Maybe there could be an explanation of the blink meter and how to blink manually or how to save since new players are almost always confused about saving.

#186Maybe there could be a tutorial map next to examplemap that new players could use when pressing the load map button
Re: Улучшение intro
#187I propose to add the game to play as a scientist and start the game with the Cabinet of Ministers, the player will come another scientist with the guard, and this will lead to a player when the speaker is sitting, and after SCP 173 works, the player will have to go the other way. (forgive the mistakes that I translated via google)
Re: Improved intro
#188As the document clearly explains in the intro, "you will be released at the end of the month"
I'd suggest some class D's talking about when and if they'd be released.
D1: So when do you think they are gonna let us free?"
D2: I dont know about you, but I've been told I'm gonna get released real soon.
D3: (to D2) Thats good for you but (to D1) if you read your file correctly it says you'll be freed at the end of the month.
D1: A month? Crap thats a lot of tests. And whats to say for the last test they throw us into a chamber with some what do you call it? SCP who murders you no questions asked?
Guard: (To D1) Thats exactly what'll happen if you dont follow our orders.

Re: Improved intro
#189It'd be cool if the intro to where you're walking to 173's chamber would be abet longer, maybe 5 rooms you have to go through?
Here are some rooms I thought of:
Room 1: The three-way door room we have in the intro now. (the one with a pipe)
Room 2: A storage type of room with a window on the left, inside the room there's a bunch of crates. (Reg could probably just use a picture for the crate room)
Room 3: A room with a couple of monitors on the wall to the left, on the wall to the right there's a window that looks into a conference room.
Room 4: A short hallway with two doors on the left and a staircase on the right going down to another door, the second door on the left opens and a scientist comes out and says "Off to meet 173, are we? Have fun!", after that the scientist goes down the staircase and goes through the door. (the scientist could be the intercom voice one, or just a new one)
Room 5: The office you go through before 173's chamber.
Just suggestions.

#190I wonder If there could be a Janitor absent mindedly listening to some Tunes on some Headphones as he sweeps the Floor.
Stereotypical, I know.
