I didn't end up with any other players, but I saw plenty of strange things. After a monster walked by me and dissapeared, causing the screen to get very bright, I got to a strange rift making a buzzing noise. I couldn't walk through it, but another one (one that wasn't making noise) was traverse-able. Turns out it wasn't actually a portal, rather a hole at the end of a hallway. This is what I saw as I was falling: It was accompanied by a very supernatural sounding whooshing noise, after which point the game seemed to freeze and I had to alt-F4 out of it.
Still pretty cool.

Unless you've got everything you need, I can provide some sounds, some okay textures and maybe music, I'm still in the learning process of making music right now though.

odd. it's amazing when a project with alot of hype suddenly dies.(if there was that much hype to begin with)

I'll probably never have the free time to finish this project so consider it done. It's riddled with spelling errors and glitches but I figured it shouldn't just sit on my computer forever.
