Only thing I can think of is that your graphics card is having compatibility issues with the game. Never heard of this problem before.

So there's no way to fix this without getting a new graphics card?

I'm not really sure. I'm not a big computer wizz when it comes to hardware.

Goodness no, you don't need a new graphics card. But I suggest to manually download said file and put it into your System Folder.

- C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
- C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7)

... and then try again.
