Hello everyone!
Due to the forums becoming more quiet with every passing year, we've decided to close them to new posts at the end of this month, that is on Friday 30 October as we call it a day in our remote office. Big thanks to everyone who has written on these forums since they were opened, you were the spark to a thriving community that has since moved to other platforms!
And about those other platforms – where can you chat with each other, find us or more information about SCP – Containment Breach and Barotrauma?
SCP – Containment Breach
- We have an IndieBD page where you can showcase your mods in the future. Find it here: https://www.indiedb.com/games/scp-containment-breach.
- https://discord.gg/undertow – although the meat of the server these days is Barotrauma, we still have a category for CB and welcome you all there to follow the ongoing development! There are also 13000+ people for you to meet and greet, including current CB developers.
- Join the official subreddit, r/scpcontainmentbreach! https://reddit.com/r/scpcontainmentcreach
- https://scpcbgame.com – the home page with the download remains where it has always been.
- The GitHub repo where you can follow development can be found at https://github.com/juanjp600/scpcb.
Barotrauma
- https://discord.gg/undertow – the more the merrier! The Undertow server is also the official Discord for Barotrauma, replete with devs and regular news.
- https://barotraumagame.com is updated with latest news and blog posts.
- Find Barotrauma on Steam, with regular posts and the Steam forums at your disposal:
- The public GitHub repository for Barotrauma is https://github.com/Regalis11/Barotrauma.
- Barotrauma also has a subreddit, r/Barotrauma, at https://reddit.com/r/barotrauma.
The forums with all their existing posts will remain here and you can continue to browse them like always. For new discussions, we hope to see you around other parts of the internet!
Best,
The Containment Breach and Barotrauma teams
Re: We're closing the forums, no new posts after the end of October
#3Well snap, that's a shame, I remember coming here to make the most cancerous posts here. God how time flies! I'm sad to see these forums go, but I'm glad to have been here whenever I could, especially since it gave me a good taste of what forum culture is like when I registered here eight years ago.
This profile's been around for nearly eight years

Re: We're closing the forums, no new posts after the end of October
#4Feature suggestions were moved from GitHub to this forum. When these forums are closed, where is the new correct place to discuss suggestions?
Re: We're closing the forums, no new posts after the end of October
#5For Barotrauma, we've been directing suggestions to our Discord and Steam forums, chiefly, and they are also discussed on the subreddit.
For CB, I would assume pretty much the same: the other platforms mentioned in the opening can be used. I'll leave it to CB devs to comment more on that

#6I'll miss you guys! Even though I haven't been active on here since like 2014, I have a lot of good memories from this place. From discussing SCP:CB ideas to complaining about Blitz3D, this was a place where I learned about forum culture in general. To Regalis, Steelpoint, and all the mods, thanks for all the good times, and I'll see you all on the undertow discord.

#7I'll always remember this place as the best place to discuss SCPCB. It's really sad to see it go in the end.
