You wouldn't pick them up, just activate them, like display a message. If you find the Flamingo, it would say "Theres nothing wrong with this duck." Except maybe the first aid duck, which could function as an unlimited First Aid kit, but not work very well since it only dispenses band-aids.

It would work terribly. When holding the item, all wounds are suddenly covered in band-aids. Now, cover a heavily bleeding gunshot with a band-aid. It will probably keep going.

Should be something like this:

You ''pick up'' the duck
Message on the screen says ''Hm. Now there's band-aids on my [BODY PART]''
Bleeding gets slowed down by a few seconds
Another message says ''The bleeding is leaking through the band-aid...''
Slowdown stops, return to normal bleeding.
