Probably going to get a lot of hate for this but......instead of having a random map by default what about just having a structured one? That way, you never have to worry about bad seeds, dead ends, missing out on any SCP's/rooms or paths that don't make sense. Random map generation can still be unlocked after beating the game once with any ending since by then you should have seen most of what the game has to offer and to keep it fresh you now have the random map option.

Pros:
1. You'll be able to explore everything the game has to offer with no worries about certain rooms or areas not spawning
2. No worrying about missing out on items
3. Paths can now be made to make sense
4. Rooms/ areas can be expanded on without worrying about clipping into other sections
5. Game should be a lot more stable and load faster with a structured layout vs a randomly generated one
6. Game will be more newbie friendly since they shouldn't get confused about if they've been to a certain area yet or not
7. Game now has an unlockable!
8. Game still has it's original way to get the game fresh via random map generation ( so you pretty much are having your cake and eating it too as they say.)

Cons:
1. Boo hoo it's different and I don't like changes

Personally i don't like it not because i hate change but because it takes away the unpredictability CB has, it wouldn't be as scary if you knew what was going to be next, not knowing is what keeps CB scary as long as it has.

It might work as an option selectable from the start maybe, heck it could be the safe difficulty setting.

The random map generation is one of the key elements of containment breach. A pre-made map would pretty much take away the sense of never knowing what comes next.

And BTW, there's a map creator for the game, if you want to have a pre-made map, you could possibly make it on your own.
Do you think NASA invented thunderstorms to cover up the sound of space battles?

I'm not saying removing it entirely just make it an unlockable after beating the game once with any ending. Also, to a newbie the randomness would be irrelevant. Everything in the game would be new to them so random maps wouldn't matter, hence why I said after beating the game once I do like SCP-500's idea of a "Safe" difficulty though :)
