I know, I acknowledge that what I said lacks originality. The trailer seems to be very bland without any sort of grand excitement though. Just suspense made it great but it also made me feel bored as all hell and kinda let down because when you expect something to happen then nothing happens, it's a very weird feeling. There needs to be more of something, a climax of some sort, something that will put me so on edge that I will fall off and break my neck on the table. That's why I said the 096 scare, since it's hands-down the best one.A Hideous Beast wrote: No no no, I disagree, don't show 096 in action, create suspense, but don't spoil him to the viewer! And the jump at the end...it's cliche as all Hell, I'm sory if that sounds mean, but it's been done to death, and it's just....ugh.
Re: Trailer/Anything I can do suggestions?
#12I went in not showing 106 and 173 directly on purpose. My reasoning behind this is the game is very well established on a suspense climatic platform, and to almost mimic that was my intention. 173 and 106 are VERY critical characters in the game, that is specifically why I did not show them, I only demonstrated the traces of them, that way the player who has viewed the trailer and not played the game could be like "what is this?" and get an even more intense scare because they will have no idea what they would be expecting. That was my purpose behind that, but I do get what you are saying.UnbeknownstWatcher wrote:I feel like you should've somehow got SCP-106 and SCP-079 since they are pretty critical ones. I think the music cut-offs were great; as a musician it is the execution was excellent, ambience/song crossfade was spot on and balancing overall is pretty good. I would say use a different song for new trailers, but it is an excellent song I think the trailer might still be a W.I.P.
My biggest suggestion, is that you seem to have created a suspense motif focused around SCP-096 but haven't utilized it- which you should. The ending occurs very solemnly, kinda suddenly, and most definitely anti-climatically. It sorta felt like a let-down in the end (Don't get me wrong, I love the trailer). You should most definitely end with a scare/jumpscare, which could definitely be the SCP-096 chase (Which is what I was hoping for in the end.) Suspense, scare, then SCP Containment Breach logo, voila, perfection in my eyes.
I actually did have that shot included in the initial cut of the trailer, and it did scare the S%#T out of me, but when you look at the purpose of 096, looking at his face in the trailer would sorta ruin that. I did try to get the door only, but the AI cause him to appear through the door before it would be opened, so I decided not to use that cut, but maybe in the future when the AI is maybe a bit improved on thatDestructoid wrote:Well I think you could have shown the door being ripped open by 096 for like, half a second, included a shot of the guard firing at 173, ceiling larry, or 173 popping in front of you after a blink, all this occuring in quick sequence for a "climatic" ending, I really liked the trailer though, it was very professional.

That trailer audio track was sent to me by Omniary, so I used it because I thought it just fit the SCP universe perfectly, but in terms of the main trailer I may just make my own music according to the initial recommendations Regalis made before I made the trailer, he said he thought I did amazing work on the trailer, so I think I hopefully covered most of what he wanted, but the only issue is the copyright on songs, that is something I will have to bypass or ask permission to use, (I know how to do so since I have contacted Trent Reznor's management firm on using his songs for a series I was/am making, so I shouldn't have a problem with the music part) It is just hard and a long process at times depending on the song, any recommendations though you should message me and send me a link of it, I will check anything out and see if it can work or not. thanks againDjSaturn wrote:The song was good but i wonder if you can find a better one?

Really? Thanks! I am glad you liked it, PM me sometime because I think the main trailer would be a great thing to have more people collaborate onGamingMediocrity wrote:I absolutely loved the trailer Lotims! Oh, I hope you aren't saying the trailer was that bad, if it was I apologize for not meeting your opinions but, what can I doA Hideous Beast wrote:No no no, I disagree, don't show 096 in action, create suspense, but don't spoil him to the viewer! Well, like I said, this trailer was a smaller version of what I was going to do, more like a teaser trailer almost, but not quite. I am not going to make a full on trailer with the initial try out. All I can do is do the best I can according to my understanding of the SCP universe, and what Regalis and several others had said about what they would like to see in the trailer. Regalis said it was amazing work, so I at least believe that I did the trailer to his content (which is probs the most important) and including everyone who participated in creating the audio track elements, such as Omniary, I followed also what I believed what his vision was when creating the audio trailer, he said I nailed it perfectly, so I got that right. The only thing I think people need to realize on this thread is: Not everyone is going to agree, which means I cannot follow everyone's suggestions to the dime, so there will be disappointment among people, my only goal is to satisfy the guy who envisioned this game from the very beginning and others with him, and those who haven't seen the game before so it will lure the viewers in to playing the game. I am planning on making several animated scenes for the main trailer, I got people I am thinking of collaborating with on that, along with myself maybe. I will take suggestion and see about a more climactic ending, since I do see your point on that. Thanks againUnbeknownstWatcher wrote:I know, I acknowledge that what I said lacks originality. Apologies if it seemed like I was being rude, it was not intended for that, I just thought I would point some of that stuff out. Not being defensive, thanks again for all the suggestions

#13Suggestion:
Create a video, like a short survival guide.
Like this, but for containment breach, where it gives a basic rundown of how to complete the game.

#14That's a cool idea, I like how they did it for Zombie Panic. Awesomemrpeanut188 wrote:Suggestion:
