My theory is that Regalis got it from the imageboard that he posted the first version of SCP-087-B on. Which is probably /v/.

Re: The Bloop
#27Because the sound is within the game. I asked another mod if I should move it, but they said no, so it's staying here.Cridone wrote:Then why is this thread in General Discussion?

#28Sounds like failing machinery to me, especially since the noise plays constantly for me during gameplay.Trialtrex21 wrote: Because the sound is within the game. I asked another mod if I should move it, but they said no, so it's staying here.
Re: The Bloop
#29Oy, you are failing to understand the discussion of this topic. If you read the OP, you'd understand what I'm talking about. We are discussing the REAL LIFE occurrence of this sound. It is a sound known as the bloop, which occurred in 1997 deep within the Pacific Ocean 5,000 Kilometers from the microphones. The thing that's interesting about the sound is that it is believed to have been made by an organism, but no known organism can make a sound this loud. So it was either just an iceberg, or something REALLY big.Cridone wrote:Sounds like failing machinery to me, especially since the noise plays constantly for me during gameplay.Trialtrex21 wrote: Because the sound is within the game. There was a reference to this occurrence in SCP-169 - The Leviathan

Re: The Bloop
#30Well, it could be failing machinery underwater. But I don't think machinery would or can be that deep.
I agree that it could be a bomb.
