I'm completely in agreement to this. A massive community collaboration would allow us to make a plethora of content for the vending machine. It'd be appreciated if you got that instructional forum up so I could contribute some content of my own.
ey b0ss, can I habe de pussi plz?

Yesss, It's always best if its easiest for people to access and contribute.

I'll put it up asap if Regalis wants to implement it (and hopefully if it's programmably possible!).

The drink that gives the player stamina should be an energy drink. It could give you a stamina boost for a set number of time. A cup of cold medicine could make the player drowsy or sleepy which would be an adverse reaction to the energy drink. Those are just two ideas I had off the top of my head.

That medicine can probably de-fie the affect of some of the pages in 1025.

I believe that has been tested in one of 294's test logs, the result vaporized the entire site.

Regalis wrote:So, has anyone made it inside the "control room" in SCP-079's chamber yet (the new door with the code)?

Anyway, I've been having a metric ton of IRL stuff going on lately and I haven't made much progress. I've still managed to fix quite a lot of bugs and make some new rooms: "checkpoint rooms" between the zones and a cafeteria (finally). The SCP-513 project on the collaboration forum seems to have made some progress as well, so reimplementing SCP-513 shouldn't be that far away...

I've been wondering what I should do with SCP-294. As some of you probably know, we've had a model for it for ages, it's just hasn't been put in the game yet. The cafeteria would be a suitable place for it, but I still have my doubts whether it should be added or not. Making it functional would be a nearly impossible task - it would have to be able to produce hundreds of different liquids to make it feel even vaguely like a machine that can vend anything. Just having it as a static prop would be one option, but it might be disappointing when the players find it and realize it can't be used (potentially after spending time and effort trying to figure out how to make it work).

Sorry, I had completely forgotten about it. It's now included in the game's folder, just redownload it from the main site.
I managed to get into the control room, cant remember where I found the code though.

Nice piece of content you put in there.
What fun is there in making sense?
Now, if you will excuse me i have some chaos to wreak.

Mirocaine wrote:My proposal for SCP-294 is for it to be an "Open Community project" -- in the sense that scp-294 has an editable .txt file in the data folder that members can easily add possible inputs into the machine and set outputs/effects of the liquids. It would essentially work just like the LoadingScreens text file -- except EVERYONE can add onto it, making the possibilities endless.
This is a great idea. It would be hard to achieve liquids with more complicated effects with this kind of system (like making the player hallucinate if he drinks a cup of LSD), but we could still get a variety of interesting results just by affecting the stats of the player (stamina, injuries, blinking etc), playing some sound clip and displaying a message on the screen. I think I'll start writing a parser for the .txt file when SCP-513 is done.

Sounds great. I will think of some drinks then. :D

btw
I must thank you for making the game and all . I enjoy it from the first minute. (wow, 1 Year is now gone...)
I love you.
