No. It had to take hours of hard concentrated work just to make the fucking tunnels alone. And inexperienced noobs would think making SCP-173 took like ten minutes. Guys, I agree that SCP CB should be put on a better engine. Although if Regalis doesn't want to convert to a new engine, then leave the man alone. He's using what he's comfortable with. You want the game to look pretty? You're more then welcome to help. And the graphics that we currently have really aren't bad. Sure, it could look better. But it could also be worse. Take that into mind, lose your ignorance, and be thankful.
Appreciation is a valuable trait. I thought my comrades on this forum were made of more morality. So unless you have something to contribute or have contributed, you have no place to try and justify your selfishness. It is okay to want a new one, but to complain about it without taking action yourself is cowardice.
Hang on. So we're not entitled our own opinion unless we provide something? Like what? A mod? Get off it. You guys can demand your new engine, but there also people against it. And I'm one of them.
Also, Regalis stated earlier he won't switch. So that's the end of it anyway.
The ignorance in some people is startling, even for someone selfish like me.
D: no I meant people are demanding so much but providing so little, like I said before, it is human nature to want more but I feel people don't have the right to keep nagging the developers for one. Sorry if I came off as ignorant.

Ah, I misunderstood you then. But I agree with your statement now. People keep screaming for MORE MORE MORE and it seems now that Regalis is back from his 5 Months of Army they're louder than ever.
But then again, I remember this happening before. I think it was about a year ago before 096 was introduced. Everybody was whining about how the Game Engine is not cut out for all this.
It'll eventually quiet down with the next big update because they'll be too busy praising the hell out of whatever new things Regalis introduced.

Hypocrites.

Alright, if the game were to officially move to another engine, it's going to be at discretion & work of supportive community members. I'm sure that if there was quite enough work done to bring it up to the BLITZ3D version of CB's standards, it would be possible. I'm in full support of working on the conversion project.

Yeah, even I am working on c++ work for it. Harder than I thought, now I know why such little ground has been covered with this project.

I unfortunately don't have all the time in the world, even though I'm done with the military service. I'm starting a summer job at a paper factory next week (have to pay my bills and stuff), and I'll be working there until I start my studies in Turku Polytechnic in August. Also, it looks like you're underestimating how much work it would take to change the engine. You would have to wait way more than a few months for a new update.

Hug, dont do that again.

And with the input from Regalis himself on his decision regarding the current engine, where he chose and said he will continue using the current one and that people are free to convert the gme to another engine if they can, I will let this thread live till tomorrow where I will lock it.
If Steelpoint or Regalis thinks it should remain open, then please post saying so, otherwise this thread has served its purpose in my eyes and is mostly only attracting small opinion fights between forum members.
What fun is there in making sense?
Now, if you will excuse me i have some chaos to wreak.

I am worried about you and your other jobs. I guess that leaves a long time for a new update. But, I can wait anytime I want to. Like seriously, I am not rushing you for a new update or new engine. As I said earlier, everything most of graphics, models and optimizations on this engine is most fine, but only programming is a bit... sorta scripted and bad of the Memory Access Violations, bugs and glitches. And other people, let Regalis decide everything it is his game, not yours. Convert SCP:CB to other engine on your own. Also, good luck with your other jobs, Regalis.
