Okay, what about this: A vending machine that gives drinks out, but you have to use the Mastercard to use it. It might dispense, say, an energy drink that would temporarily increase sprint time, but on the downside, it would make you blink slightly more often.

Don't double post.

I do however think that it would be a good idea. It would make the player decide whether he will risk loosing blink meter to be able to sprint more. Might be useful to escape risky situation, but at the same time will leave you vulnerable to 173.

You go into a room (with a new layout so everyone will not overlook anything) and there is a table with an envelope on it near a First Aid Kit or a Keycard. On the outside you can read "TOP SECRET" or "DO NOT OPEN THIS" and if you are too much curious and you decide to open the envelope, you can find a photo of 096's face and SCP-096 start chasing you. The good thing of this is that you know that 096 is chasing you but you don't know where and when SCP-096 will find you. Plus 096 for now can be easily avoided when he is in his containment cell and only if you find SCP-096 in the room with the Fuel Pump and ect. is a real problem for you. (Sorry for my english)
1. Why would there be a keycard or first aid kit there randomly?
2. Who would even take the time to take the pictures and put them on an envelope, to then leave it laying around randomly?
3. The foundation is not stupid, they would never have any image of 096.
4. This would only work once, since the player will then know what happens when he opens it.

Putting a random image of 096's face in the game is stupid, cheap and makes no sense.

Still, why would they have an envelope that has the same destructive effects as a nuclear weapon? They are not stupid, they would have gotten rid of it IMMEDIATELY!

They DID try many different trials with cameras and pictures (it is a big part of the document) and they realized that they should not have any pictures of them, that is why all of them were destroyed and it is not permitted to take any type of photograph of 096.

096 is already lethal by itself. Shoving a picture of its face to the player is cheap. It also takes away the fear of his presence, since you can still trigger him even if he is not in the room.

Here's a neater idea. What if the player finds a monitor room where cameras are observing a few different areas in the game. And on one of the camera screens, 096 can be seen sitting/pacing in a random room/hallway. If the player sees his face on the screen, he will start screaming as usual and will run offscreen. From there, 096 will quickly reach the monitor room to kill the player.

There we have it! It gives 096 more to do, it demonstrates his ability, and we won't have to worry about random photos of him!

THIS! This is how it should be done! It makes sense and does the job. It also makes the feel player dread for the stupid mistake he made.

I'm pretty sure that once the foundation found out about this they would get rid of all photos and videos of 096. The only time they needed a photo of 096 was when they wanted to get an artist deciption of his face. There's no reason for them to have any photos of him laying around.

I love this idea. Finally something to use the mastercard on :)

As long as this doesn't replace the current event where you are locked in and forced to walk around him this would be awesome. Maybe this could occur sometime after your first encounter with him?

Actually, I would imagine the foundation would keep all records and documentation of tests and anything SCP related within their archives, no matter how dangerous. They obviously wouldn't keep it in a plain envelope though, but probably a metal keycoded box with warnings on it stating that the contents are dangerous and require a certain level of clearance to have access to it.
